Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue

A LETTER FROM CLUB LEADERSHIP

January 2020

Dear Friends,

For more than 66 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of Bellevue has been committed to providing safe places for Bellevue’s youth when they are not in school. In the neighborhoods that need us most, youth from ages 2.5–18 have access to life-enhancing programming focused on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character & citizenship.

Last year was a year of transformation for BGCB. We achieved a great deal in 2019 and look forward to building on our momentum in the year ahead.

In September, we opened BGCB’s fifteenth site in Newport Heights Elementary School, where 1 in 5 students qualify for free and reduced lunch. In the Club’s first year, we served more than 54 youth. We look forward to serving many more children in the years to come. We would like to express our gratitude to the individuals and corporations who made this new site a reality.

Our dedicated Club staff continues to work tirelessly to inspire and enable our members to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. Last year, 97% of members said there is an adult at the Club who always wants them to do their best.

Looking ahead, we will continue to find ways to improve the programming and services we offer to members, so we can expand our reach and deepen our impact.
On behalf of the more than 11,000 children and teens we serve – thank you. Each contribution, regardless of size, made by our caring and generous community of donors, partners, volunteers, and friends ensures all young people, especially those who need us most, have access to our Clubs life-changing programming.
Together, we are building a brighter Bellevue.

With gratitude,
